I have been working at IHS Markit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good working environment. Lots of flexibility with working from home. Managers are focused on numbers and deliverables, but at the same time understanding and compassionate toward staff. Great work/life balance. Benefits are awesome.

    Cons

High cost of living city. Metro costs are discounted, but should provide free metro cards like other employers in the DC area.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at IHS Markit (Washington, DC (US)) in July 2016.

    Interview

Process began with a phone interview with HR, where I was asked basic questions about my background and given more information regarding the position. I then interviewed in person with 3 different people. Their interviewing style was very laid back. Finally, I was given a writing assessment regarding the price of an assigned commodity. They give you a ton of information, and they want you to synthesize the data.

    • What would you look for when accessing the price of a specific good or service?   Answer Question
