      I worked at Illumina full-time (More than a year)

      Pros

      - Free Illumina swag.
      - Coworkers were willing to answer questions if need be. Noticed that coworkers who were unapproachable were let go.
      - Turnover rate not that high.

      Cons

      - Free swag because raises and bonuses were barely given out.

      I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Illumina (Redwood City, CA (US)) in March 2018.

      Interview

      The company used a one-way automated system "HireVue" for this first screening interview. Not being able to have a dialog with an interviewer and ask my own questions was both a significant frustration and a large red flag to me. Did I really want to work for a company that presents itself this way?
