I worked at Lyft (Less than a year)
I can sit while working. Talk to people.
Sometimes it can be slow, and you don't make money unless you're driving people.
Advice to Management
Let customers request you personally. A lot of my customers wanted this because they felt comfortable with me and like the way I drove.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lyft (Seattle, WA (US)) in October 2019.
Phone screen was a typical SWE phone screen with a DS/Algo question. The onsite was 3 interviews with one 90 minute coding session where you had to solve a problem in an IDE and have your code compile and run and then its submitted to them. Overall the recruiter, the interviewers, and everyone I met were very pleasant, and the office has a cool urban vibe. I didn't get the offer, but I can clearly see where I messed up in two of the interviews. Hoping to give it some prep and try again in the future.
