    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Monzo Bank (Cardiff, Wales) in March 2021.

    Interview

After initial application in locking a few online competency based questions and some experience questions I got an email saying they wanted to invite me to their virtual assessment day. Assessment day consisted of one 30 minute group meeting with who I assumed was the hiring manager and about 6 other applicants, the hiring manager just introduced herself and invited the applicants to introduce themselves then showed a presentation on information about the job. Then there was a 45 minute interview about ‘values’ I was just asked a bunch of “tell me about a time when...” questions which I felt were pretty redundant I expected a couple of these questions but there were about 6 or 7 I felt I didn’t really have the opportunity to describe my full potential. Then there was another 45 minute interview where the interviewer went over the competency based questions I answered in my initial application and just changed the questions to see how my responses would adapt to the different problems. This interview I felt was the most worthwhile and allowed more of a conversation with the interviewer it was interesting and fulfilling.
