    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Nationwide Building Society (Wakefield, England) in January 2017.

    Interview

Long winded interview process. Phone interview first through Hays Recruitment, then a few more calls to them and Nationwide for various interviews. One to get you put forward to Nationwide, that's the basic questions of why you want the role, why work for Nationwide etc. The second one was a call back from Nationwide for a proper interview, then they call you again and put you forward to interview, someone else calls you to set that up.
Then the interview was an hour and a half and included a role play at the end

    Interview Questions

    • PHONE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
      Why work for Nationwide?
Name one product Nationwide has and talk about its benefits.
      What are your strengths/weaknesses?

      INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
      (use STAR technique when answering)
(interviewer asks you more about the situation that you give them so make sure you really know your story)
Name a time when you had a difficult colleague to deal with? How did you approach that situation?
Name a time when you had to lead yourself or your team out of a difficult situation. How did you do that? How did that affect you?

(google the PRIDE values and basically come up with a story for each of them)   Answer Question
