I have been working at Network Rail full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people are incredible, they genuinely care about their colleagues and the responsibility we have to keeping the UK infrastructure going.

    Cons

There is an awful lot of work to do to update ways of working etc (everything needs doing!), and there is definitely an ‘old boys club’ mentality in senior management. However, both of these points are being worked on but nothing happens overnight.

    Advice to Management

Keep on going, your on the right path.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Network Rail (Milton Keynes, England) in February 2020.

    Interview

Friendly, bubbly staff conducting interviews. Really want the best out of you and encourage this throughout. Safety questions, technical questions, interview and group work. It is challenging as its nerve wracking to act yourself in such an important situation, but staff made it so easy!
