Some very nice people prepared to work honestly as a team and to share the credit.
There is a complete lack of career advancement. The business model appears to be to keep the wages of the longest serving personnel down to a minimum. In order to attract staff new joiners are offered better wages than those who have contributed more to the company – these wages are in effect market rates. This sorry state of affairs leads to a high percentage of staff turnover and depressing staff morale.
Advice to Management
The management should pay more than lip service to aligning the business with market rates for all employees. Have an honest look at your business and see who has been promoted over the last few years - admit that there is a lot that can be done and do something about it.
