I have been working at QinetiQ full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A really open and friendly place to work.
The work is varied and you'll do things at QinetiQ you couldn't do in many other places. The offices are all open plan making it easier to actually talk with not only your team but other members of the team to deliver the best for the customers.
I would thoroughly recommend QinetiQ to anyone who wants a challenge and is willing to take opportunities to make their career what they want it to be. If you want a job that can deliver the typical cliche of "No two days are the same" QinetiQ is the place for you.

    Cons

Tech can be seen as quite "old". Old laptops, monitors etc. Certain areas of the business can hinder projects being delivered, by taking too long to do things or watering information to the customer down.

    Advice to Management

Invest in tech! Working in cyber we have ancient laptops, which doesn't fill the customer with much hope.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at QinetiQ (Malvern, England) in September 2017.

    Interview

The interview was by far the most relaxed interview I've ever had. From the moment I walked in the door all the staff were friendly and welcoming, they truly had an interest in me and made me more interested in working for QinetiQ. I went into the interview unsure about working for QinetiQ and if I even wanted the job, to leaving the interview thinking how dissapointed I'd be if I wasn't offered the job. There's always the worry that the people in the interview are there to be extra nice to reel you in, but I can honestly say since joining QinetiQ the people I work with and that I've had exposure too have all been the same as in the interview.
The interview was focused about you. The biggest thing I took away from the interview was that they weren't overly fussed about how clever or smart you were, they were more interested in you as a person, can you work well in a team, do you have a desire to learn and go places with your career.
