    Pros

Great work-life balance, smart people who are not afraid to try new things. You get above average RSUs and the base salary is not bad. Health care plan is one of the best.

    Cons

Free food is limited to snacks unless you are in crunching season.
Less learning opportunities compared to big 4.

    Advice to Management

Invest more in organizing tech talks and employee skillset development.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tableau Software (Palo Alto, CA (US)) in November 2015.

    Interview

After an on-campus interview with basic behavioral and technical questions, I got a two part technical interview onsite. The onsite consisted of two 40 minute one-on-ones with software engineers there. All my interviewers were super friendly and excited to be there. I was notified through email a couple days after the onsite that I was not selected.

    Interview Questions

    • Given an unsorted array of integers, output an array containing the numbers in the original array that appear an odd number of times. What is the runtime of your process?   2 Answers
    • Explain and implement a serialization of a binary tree.   1 Answer
    • Tell me about a technical problem you overcame.   Answer Question
