Employees rate Tokyo 29.2% higher than the overall average
I have been working at Tableau Software full-time (Less than a year)
I've been working at Tableau in Tokyo for almost 2 month now and it's been wonderful experience. When I changed the job from the previous company which was IBM, I was looking for the company where it has a amazing product, good market share and respectable people. And I found Tableau was definitely the right place to be at.
I don't have to say that product is wonderful because it's well known that we invest 30% of our profit to research and development every year and we've been market leader for the long time. I continuously see each upgrades every month and customer loves it.
We have a good market as well since data market is keep growing so fast.
Lastly, the people. We have 8 wonderful company core value and everyone seems well understand and act accordingly. Everyone respect each other and we are very creative. That's all I love about Tableau.
Ah, forgot to mention that Tableau office is also amazing. They apply same spec desk in every office, so I can even have very spacey own desk in tiny Tokyo! (Office is big, but just in general in crowded Tokyo.. ) Kitchen is nice facility too, we never feel hungry at office.
Nothing specific, really.... Everything is too good here.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Tableau Software (Tokyo (Japan)) in January 2019.
My interview process was very nice and smooth thanks to my recruiter. I was reached out by Tableau's recruiter via Linkedin and later we had a casual chat on the phone. Then I submit the resume and they reviewed, then I get to the first onsite interview. The first onsite interview was about the general question of my current job role, what's my responsibilities and how I overcome the difficulty etc.. I passed on, then scheduled second round of interview which ended up as the final round of interview. Second round was all about the "Product Demo". I did a 30 minute of product demo in front of my hiring manager and sales team. Then they will ask questions regarding Tableau's functionality and value.
