I have been working at Voyage Care (More than 5 years)
The PWS are fantastic & I work with a great team of support workers. We're like family. The home is lovely, & easy to commute to.
Wages are awful. No extra pay for bank holidays. No unsociable hours allowance for night workers. Always wanting more than you're able to give!
Advice to Management
Look after your employees & pay us what we deserve! We work extremely hard & try our best, but get abused (verbally & sometimes physically) on a daily basis by PWS. The rate of pay is absolutely shocking! We get no extras or bonuses for bank holidays (except a measly £5 Christmas day, £2.50 boxing day & new year) & no unsociable allowance for night workers! You're one of the biggest care providers in the UK, a multi million pound company! Surely you can do right by your staff & pay us a wage we deserve!
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Voyage Care (Nuneaton, England).
I'd left voyage care to become a HCA in a hospital, but didn't enjoy it. I messaged my old manager at voyage to see if there were any job vacancies. He rang me & said "the job's yours. I just need to interview you as a formality"
I went for the interview & got the job immediately
