1E has been inventing solutions to help IT get more done every day for 22 years, earning over 40 patents in the process. Over 31 million licenses have been consumed by 1750 organizations to help IT teams with their endless to-do list.

With Tachyon, 1E has made a breakthrough to take the normal in IT from delay to done already. This is the way IT should always have been, starting and finishing the task within a single thought process.

1E has over 300 employees based primarily in the US, UK, and India, with smaller groups in Ireland and Australia. Our employees are fantastic, and our customers continually tell us so. 1E’s offices are located in New York, London and Delhi. 1E is employee-owned and has not accepted external investment so far to avoid altering our bias to always innovate. With Tachyon, our focus has shifted toward helping IT and the rest of the business deliver results faster and assisting IT teams with getting more done every day in this increasingly complex world.

We are an ethically and socially responsible company. We support British and Indian children’s charities, even employing a full-time child psychologist to help and mentor the children we support directly. We are also the main sponsor of a long-term research project with Warwick and Delhi universities to identify the motivations and interventions needed to get more women into higher education and decrease gender inequality.

Our Beginning

1E was founded in 1997 by Sumir Karayi. Highly technical and with many years of experience in blue chip organizations, Sumir saw a need to reduce the cost of managing Windows PCs and Servers.

Driven by word of mouth validation from our customers, 1E gained a reputation as the leading Microsoft Systems Management specialist, supporting our customers in robust content distribution, software asset management, and user self-service. In addition, 1E was a pioneer in PC Power Management and Green IT well before these became hot topics, helping companies reduce their waste at the same time as saving them money.

We are prioritising the safety of our customers and employees throughout this global pandemic. Our offices have been inspected and all relevant PPE and enhanced cleaning has been introduced in the event that we are able to return to the office. Currently, our offices are closed with only limited key people attending who are local and can drive. We have adopted a "Work From Anywhere" approach to help our employees during these strange times. We are still actively hiring and our recruitment and onboarding is all done virtually for the foreseeable future.
