Mission: Empowering People to Live a Better Life
Would you know what to do to help a colleague when they are having a seizure? For International Epilepsy Day we spoke to Development & Engagement Consultant, Peter Delves, to find out more about the condition.
On World Cancer Day we’d like to thank our incredible Cancer Care team who always go the extra mile to support our customers. We spoke to Cancer Care Team Leader, Nicola, to find out more about the amazing work they do.
Everything we do begins with our customers. Change is constant, so we challenge ourselves daily to adapt to new expectations. The future is unknown, so we work hard to inspire pride and a sense of belonging in our people to make sure we’re here when our customers need us. We do all of this because we believe in a common purpose; to empower people to live a better life.
We’re proud to be part of the AXA Group which is trusted by millions of customers worldwide and the number one global insurance brand.
Here’s a little more about our presence in the UK:
We genuinely care about people. That's why here, and right across the world, we are restless about making our customers' lives better. And it doesn’t stop there.
Believing in better
Empowering people to live better lives means more than just protecting people. It’s taking responsibility – personally, professionally and as a business. It’s taking pride in what we do and believing we can achieve more. It’s the constant pursuit to improve ourselves, to make a bigger difference to our customers’ lives and to look after the world that we share.
Looking after you
Our people are the life-force of our business. So we do everything we can to take care of them. We make sure everyone has the room to grow and feels inspired to develop and believe in themselves. And it shows - we’re proud to have been recognised as one of the Sunday Times Top 30 Best Big Companies to work for.
Our purpose goes far beyond just caring for our customers and their futures. It’s about looking after our environment and minimising our impact. It’s about giving back to our communities and supporting causes we believe in. It’s about treating all of our people equally and growing a diverse and happy workforce.
Right across the world, we share a common purpose; to empower people to live better lives.
At AXA, we rely on the talent, courage and resilience of our people to succeed. That’s why we are open, supportive, challenging and empowering. We encourage our people to learn and grow their career in the direction that’s right for them.
We respect and value the individual differences of our people, because it’s these differences that make us stronger. Only by challenging ourselves to be better and embracing change will we continue to lead the way for others.
Our values shape what we do and how we do it. They inspire us, guide us and empower us to work together, push the boundaries, challenge things for the better and believe in ourselves. No matter how big or small our achievements, our values sit at the heart of everything we do.
Customer first - All our thinking starts with the customer
Integrity - We are guided by strong moral principles
Courage - We speak our mind and act to make things happen
One AXA - Being together and being different makes us better
Building a stronger future
Our world is constantly developing and the jobs we do are changing with it. It’s why we believe in providing you with the tools to adapt and change. That way you can grow your career, while building the skills needed for whatever the future brings.
Technical and specialist training
Everything we do focuses around treating our customers fairly and upholding the trust they put in us. The financial services industry is complex and detailed. So, our first job when you join us is to make sure you have access to all the technical knowledge and tools you need to get up to speed.
Everyone learns and takes on new ideas and information differently, so we work hard to give you the flexibility to choose how and when you can develop your skills.
With on-demand access to a wide range of learning, you can dive into videos, online modules, articles, webinars and more, at a time that suits you. You might want to learn more about emotional intelligence, gain a better understanding of programming or become an Excel master. Whatever your interests, there’s sure to be a course available to help you learn what you want to know.
Maybe you want to shape the future of healthcare or you’re searching for a place to take your underwriting skills further. Maybe you’re eager to delve into the data of a leading global company, to champion a better experience for our customers or to help deliver our social media strategy to our vast community of followers. Whatever kind of role you’re looking for, you’re sure to find something at AXA which is right for you.
I have been working at AXA UK part-time
Axa provides excellent career opportunities
I have always felt trusted and empowered to perform my role
I have always been fully supported with my development with my professional qualification being paid for by AXA
I have performed a number of roles for the organisation and think that the more flexible you can be the more opportunities you can explore.
It is a great employer so many stay with the organisation for a long periods of time this may act s a blocker to others by not providing the space within the organisation to progress.
Advice to Management
With a new CEO employees are looking to understand his priorities and the 5 year plan - communication during this time will be key to ensure all understand the vision and direction of travel and how their role can support this.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AXA UK (London, England) in March 2016.
Very impressive assessment process. Professional yet friendly. Resourcing team members were so helpful throughout. Assessment day was intense but fun! Presentation, role play and interview in a very well organised format that didn't intimidate.
Professional offer, but I didn't negotiate and wish I had.
