“There's so much in history that was completely hidden and it's important to raise awareness of that.” – Amy Rose, Deputy Chair for AXA’s Pride employee resource group (ERG), gives us a run down on what the ERG has planned for LGBT History Month and explains why it’s so important to remember those who have overcome adversity and helped pave the way.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AXA UK (London, England, England) in Oct 2020

    Interview

I applied in October and was sent a short written task to complete as part of the pre-selection process. I was invited to a first stage video interview and was made to feel at ease with a useful candidate pack. I was also offered upfront assistance if I felt I had any particular assistance I needed, which I thought was a nice touch. The first stage interview was to find out more about the role and a little about my skills and experience and a great opportunity for me to ask questions. It was made really clear what the process would be and I only waited a few days to be invited to a further final video interview with the hiring manager and another senior manager. Both were really friendly and made me feel at ease as I was really nervous. I stumbled on my first question and they offered me extra time and to move the question to the end, which really helped. The interview questions were specific to the role (but I can't remember them that well now). I could tell that they were as keen for me to do well as I was, which was lovely. I was thrilled when I was offered the job within a couple of days.
