    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Aberdeenshire Council (Aberdeen, Scotland) in December 2013.

    Interview

Online application process which makes it easier to make further applications to the same organisation as the data provided is stored. Interview questions very closely linked to the job description and person spec but these can be quite detailed and so, when spotting questions during my preparation, I had prepared for far more than it would have been possible to ask in an hour-long interview.

There were 3 people on the panel and the questions were open to allow me to speak at length. Questions were a mix of testing my technical knowledge and more general questions such as "what are the most important things you need to do to achieve customer satisfaction?" "How would you manage poor performance in a member of your team?" "How do you prioritise your workload?"

    Interview Questions

    • A technical question in which I was asked not only how I would resolve the problem but also what I had done to demonstrate that I am willing to go the extra mile.   Answer Question
