    Recruiter Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Aerotek in January 2016.

    Interview

Note: I had been pre-warned by people in the know this company basically just hires fresh out of college graduates. I therefore shortened my resume before submitting it.

I was called for a phone screen and as speaking about my qualifications, I discussed other employment I had. The interviewer's entire tone and attitude towards me changed. I knew at that point she had just realized I was much older than she initially thought and there was no way in heck I was getting a 1:1 interview for the recruiter position. Furthermore, what I had been told about them hiring just young 20 year olds was confirmed just by reading all the employee reviews left here by Aerotek employees.

Before ending the call, she started to badger me, asking me for references and where I had been interviewing. HA! I already knew too from being warned that they want your references and where you are interviewing because they makes sales calls to those companies, trying to get that business. That too was confirmed by reading reviews left on this site. Anyway, I firmly declined to give her any of this information, told her what I knew of that practice and promptly ended the call. Had I advanced to a 1:1 interview, I would provided references (no way was I was telling her where else I was interviewing though)!
