Agilisys is one of the largest employee owned organisations in the UK, having made the innovative transition to become an employee owned business in April 2015. Our unique status allows our employees to have greater engagement and ownership in the future growth and success of Agilisys.

The decision to adopt an alternative ownership structure created a means of preserving Agilisys’ employee-focused ethos and ensured the future of the company remained firmly in the hands of those people who shared the same values and visions of its co-founders.

The trust holds the majority shareholding in the company on behalf of all employees and exists to secure the continuation of Agilisys as a successful, independent and professionally managed business for the benefit of its employees, who are the majority owners.

The government has fully endorsed employee owned business models based on research that shows better outcomes as related to business performance, greater employee commitment and engagement and improved innovation.

Being majority employee owned gives us a unique strength.  As seen with other employee-owned firms like John Lewis, it fosters a distinctive long-term approach and a focus on quality and building trust.

Agilisys Women Empowerment

The Agilisys Women Empowerment Steering Committee sets out to leverage the talent we have at Agilisys by ensuring that we have an environment within our organisation that encourages everyone to excel. The committee exists to look at ways in which we can actively encourage more women into tech fields – and by tech we don’t just mean IT – it covers all the areas we work in across Agilisys.

What we're doing to close our gender pay gap

It is important to Agilisys that men and women are paid equally for doing equivalent jobs. We continue to invest in initiatives taking action to encourage gender equality across our organisation.


We are working to recognise and remove unconscious bias when it comes to hiring great female talent.


With the help of the AWE we are creating a network of mentors and coaches to support our employees at Agilisys.


We are working to identify a pipeline of great female talent for leadership positions, showing us the potential leaders of the future.


Our Employee Reps are making changes to our policies to support an improved gender pay gap- including, most recently, an improved family leave policy.

Individual development

Individuals are supported in their understanding and ability in four critical areas: customer satisfaction, financial capability, business growth and managing people. Each year business unit, team and individual objectives are aligned to each core area, and a full learning and development programme is provided to support their achievement. Programme design varies from individual e-learning, through structured courses, to employee-led action learning forums and project teams.

Broader learning opportunities

The learning and development calendar continues to evolve through the year as specific needs and requests arise, addressing a range of issues including industry specific skills, broad sector and customer knowledge and generic management and leadership capability. We specifically ensure that the Agilisys culture and values are understood and reflected in our all programmes, setting out how our values, Passion, Innovation and Integrity, are translated into key behaviours and disciplines and providing the opportunity to practice and receive feedback in a safe environment.

    I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Agilisys (London, England) in December 2017.


    Fairly Straight forward. I had to go through 2 telephone interview and then there was a final interview. As well as that I had to do a presentation on a random topic.
