I have been working at Alfa full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I've worked for Alfa for a number of years and I've had a really fantastic time. Here's most of what's on offer.

    - Incredible opportunities for travel if you opt for it, we’ve just relocated a number of people to Australia. The company does all of the difficult bits to make it happen and the package is always generous

    - You’re given a choice between a high spec Dell or the new 13 and 15 inch Touch Bar MacBook Pros

    - Amazing HR and office management functions, they provide so much support

    - Strong policies around diversity and inclusion. Maternity leave now includes 6 months at full pay

    - You can get your own company funded AWS account to hack with, all services enabled

    - Full time baristas in the London office meaning free drinks on request

    - Alfa’s full of lovely, smart people and our clients regularly mention that. We work for big names like Mercedes and Barclays so in a way you get best of both

    - There’s a high demand for our product (Alfa) and we’re the clear market leader

    - If you contribute holiday to doing something good socially, the company will match that contribution with paid time. The same goes for raising money for charity, they match it

    - There have been many incredible and memorable staff events globally. We have lovely events managers on both sides of Atlantic who cover all the details

    - Free access to an exclusive city gym close by the London office

    - If you end up needing a break the company is flexible with sabbaticals and unpaid leave

    Cons

Things have been turbulent recently and that’s expressed in the other reviews. It’s been hard to see good people leave.

    Advice to Management

If I decided to give some advice to management I could just walk over to them and give it.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Alfa (London, England) in November 2016.

    Interview

A 20 minute telephone interview. Ran through a few of my motivations and then mainly focused on the company. Required detailed knowledge of the company as well as what asset finance is. Unfortunately, they didn't call on the right day as HR messed up the dates somehow.

    Interview Questions

    • What is asset finance?
      Why use asset finance?
