    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ambitious about Autism (United Kingdom)

    Interview

The process of getting an interview time was complicated because I kept getting notifications that I hadn't chosen an interview time even though I had so I had to chase that up with HR to check when I had to attend. They actively encouraged to apply because apparently I had all the skills and experience they were looking for, so imagine my annoyance after all that praising and encouragement, to then not actually get the job. What a complete waste of my time applying and interviewing. They said they were a flexible working employer which I wanted because of my disabilities. They said were I to be the successful candidate, they would find a working pattern that worked for me, I guess they couldn't as I was unsuccessful. They seemed really impressed with me in the interview, telling me my answers were amazing and great examples. Again I was unsuccessful. I did require reasonable adjustments for the interview and for the job had I gotten it. I made them fully aware of why I needed those particular adjustments but in the interview I was asked if I could use another adjustment instead. They clearly hadn't paid any attention to why I needed specific adjustments and what my disabilities were. Or maybe they had but they wanted the adjustment that was free and most convenient to them - not to me. So not a disability confident employer. So after all the encouragement to apply and talk about how good my answers were, I didn't get the job. I can only surmise that it wasn't to do with me being the wrong candidate and everything to do with not being able to accommodate my disability. Apparently you are meant to get feedback even if you don't ask for it. I am still waiting for that feedback and yes I did contact HR to chase it up but still not heard anything yet. I thought it sounded a great company with nice people, but now I feel messed about.
    Interview

They provided the questions in advance which was helpful. Also had to do a presentation. Found the interview pretty easy.
