    Resourcing Advisor Interview

    Anonymous Employee in London, England

    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Amey (London, England) in July 2020.

    Interview

I initially had a ten minute interview to elaborate more on the role to gauge my interest and briefly chatted about my experience as well as why I was interested in the position.

Due to COVID-19 I did not have an in person interview, so I had a Microsoft teams interview instead and it was arranged within a few days after the phone screening. This was more formal conversation with two of the managers within the recruitment department. I felt the questions were very well thought out for identifying working behaviours. The interviewers were very good at prompting if anything was misunderstood and I didn't feel like they were trying to catch me out.

It did take quite a few weeks to get a formal offer but these things do happen. What I was impressed with is how someone from Amey made the effort to keep in touch with me once or twice a week. Often recruiters can be quite avoidant if they don't have news for you, so it's nice to see I'd be working with a team who follow the correct behaviours and understand the perspective of a waiting candidate.
