Advice to Management
Keep doing the great work.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at AppDynamics (London, England) in January 2019.
I have been first contacted by an recruiter and made me aware of the position. Around a week later, I asked the recruiter if there was any update on my application but did not hear from him. Couple weeks later hiring manager of the Customer Success Team has approached me for the same position. She wanted to set a phone interview as next step and it went well. At the end of the phone call, she asked me if we can have a web call next day. I have agreed to do so as well. Call was mostly based on their 4 hiring pillar. She explained me that, they want to see; Intelligence, Drive, Coachability and Experience. I was a challanging call as none of those term can be proved or explained easily. At the end, she said she would likes to invite me to London for f2f meeting. They have booked my flight and provided me details so everything was well organized.
They are sharing the same building with Cisco in a close location to Heathrow airport thats why travel was pretty easy. I had a very pleasant 1 hour meeting with hiring manager. She was very kind and approachable. At the end of the meeting she said, coincidentally her manager is also there on that day, if I would like to talk to her as well. I said sure why not. I met manager of hiring manager. She decided to included as well in meeting who she has seen out of meeting room. So at the end, I was Interviewed by 2 managers. It was a bit harder but again same questions has been asked and stressed that they only hire intelligent people with drive etc. To sum up, all went well. Everybody was nice and kind. What I did not like is why to invite someone to London if they are not yet sure to hire or not. I was on the way whole day it was very tiring and at the end, they decided to not to move with me for some reason. I have lost a day of vacation and was super tiring.
