Pros
Atlanticus has one of the best cultures but it really depends on your department. Some departments aren’t like that at all and some are great, it all depends on the dept head. New offices are looking good but wish you would’ve spent that money on the employees instead. We are able to work remote on sporadic days but after the last company meeting it sounds like our CEO is taking that away. Compensation could be a lot worse but with the awful medical packages offered, it barely breaks even.
Cons
The compensation system is dismal. Minuscule bonuses that are promised in contracts but in reality it takes four or five years for the stocks to vest so it’s no money until then. Any cash bonus or salary increases are barely negligible. I can confirm the other reviews. The worst thing about this company though is the medical benefits. This is the worst insurance offering I’ve ever had. Also the lack of continuity in recruitment. Where other departments are allowed to hire remote, we’ve been told we can’t. And I’ve heard other employees talking about how it’s impossible to move up or move around because nothing is posted internally.
