    Client Manager Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Avalara (Brighton, England) in December 2016.

    Interview

A recruitment agency called me about the job after finding my CV online. After a short call, I was invited to meet with the company in their office. The interview was very courteous, the person explained to me in great details what the company does and in less details what the reality of the job would be exactly. I was not asked any particularly hard questions or technical questions, it was more about attitude and personality.

The person however mentioned that the job opening was not fully approved by higher management. They also mentioned that due to the high technicality of the position, it would take me 6-12 months to fully understand all the ins and outs and that therefore it would probably take about that long until I really had a voice. That did cool down my enthusiasm.

I was never called back by the recruitment agency - I did call them after a week but they did not have an answer yet.
