I have been working at Babylon Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    * The app that Babylon makes really helps people and could change the way we think of careful. When you hear some of the stories of how much of a difference it has made to some people's lives when they are at their lowest moments you realise just how worthwhile it is.
    * Plenty of demand for the app meaning there is no shortage of work to do, ally of my work will go towards making real people's experience of the app better
    * Great colleagues who I have learnt a lot from

    Cons

    * The pace of growth means some things do not run as smoothly as I would like as departments struggle to hire at the rate needed (this was described as a nice problem to have at my previous start-up, which never took off, but it is still a problem)

    Community Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in London, England
    No Offer
    Negative Experience

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Babylon Health (London, England) in April 2018.

    Interview

Brief and lacking empathy. I had a 10-15 min call, which felt like the interviewer mocked what I had done in the past. One comment was - oh, a community of 10,000 people isn't that large, although we were talking about a very niche type of community, where even 1000 is a good number. then the interviewer jumped from community engagement to paid acquisition, asking repeatedly about ROI. She then suggested I spend some time thinking about the numbers and ROI and never followed up. Pretty disheartening, as I am the kind of person who builds communities on personal, empathetic, relevant social interactions. Having read other interview reviews, I do think that the culture described - caring for others - is not reflected in their interview practices.
