    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Back Market.

    Interview

I applied online and had an intro screening call with People Operations out of NYC. The call went great and I was even more excited about the opportunity as my skill set was a perfect match and I really resonated with the company culture and values. The woman who screened me was very junior/green, but she was pleasant and polite. I was told I would be getting scheduled for the next round with Chief People Officer in France. The next day, I learn the woman I had spoken to in NYC was no longer with the company. I reached out directly to the CPO in France to follow-up on next steps/reiterate my interest in the company. Read my message, no response. I followed up once more. Read my message, no response.

This type of behavior from a "people-focused" professional is just embarrassing. It's 101 to not ghost candidates. It takes 2 minutes to send a response - whether the candidate is moving forward or not. I went from really digging the company to having a very poor taste in my mouth. Get it together.
