We're proud to announce further progress in our commitment to combat Modern Slavery. Bakkavor has become a Business Member with the Bright Future Co-operative, a pioneering initiative dedicated to helping survivors of modern slavery reintegrate into the workforce safely. Bright Future Co-operative works collaboratively with businesses and charities to provide a fast-tracked, accessible route to safe and stable employment for survivors. Through their programme, survivors receive four weeks of increased support as they transition into their new roles, addressing the key barriers they face in re-entering the workforce. In addition to joining the Bright Future Co-operative, we've recently received the RRT Business Partner status accreditation (Responsible Recruitment Toolkit), on account of our dedication to responsible recruitment practices; and continue to maintain our long-standing partnership with Stronger2gether, reinforcing its commitment to combating modern slavery.
At Bakkavor, we are committed to fostering a workplace that promotes the positive mental wellbeing of everyone and we’re proud to share that, alongside launching our own mental health policy, we’ve underlined our commitment to mental health by signing up to the Mental Health at Work Commitment. By signing this pledge, we are declaring that mental health is a priority for our business and we’re committed to drive change.

I applied online. I interviewed at Bakkavor (Harrow on the Hill, England)
InterviewThe interview process was very disappointing. The interviewers were jokingly discussing why I had mentioned so many quantifiable values on my resume. They continuously questioned me about the details I had included on my CV and asked for justifications. Furthermore, the company did not follow up after the interview. It has been over two weeks, and they have not responded to my calls or emails. While I understand that this indicates they won't be proceeding with my application, they should still respond to my calls. The company's interviewers seemed very arrogant, and overall, the hiring process was quite unprofessional.Interview
