Company Updates

  • The festive period began in style, with staff in our London, Malta and Guernsey offices blowing off some steam at the End of Year parties.

Malta (pictured) enjoyed a casino night in the beautiful TemptAsian, a rooftop venue which offers stunning views of Valetta. Staff ate, drank and played casino style games (responsibly) whilst being treated to a live performance by Airport Impressions, one of the most well-known bands on the island.

Guernsey, meanwhile, had a much more dressed-down affair in the form of a pirate-themed car treasure hunt. Teams were tasked with driving around the island and taking photos in certain locations, followed by a meal at Nineteen, which offers mini golf and a driving range as part of the entertainment!

Last but not least, London were treated to a masquerade-themed night at Soho-based cabaret club Café de Paris, a gorgeous venue steeped in history. A stage that has played host to names such as Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra, welcomed the Betway band who delivered a performance worthy of their surroundings.

  • We asked Louis Chery-Roberts, our Head of QA, to tell us how he got here...

"I didn’t set out to work in QA. I studied Business Information Studies - which included components of economics, coding/computing, marketing and maths – and when I graduated, I didn’t really have any idea what I wanted to do."

"After doing some work in retail and account management, some friends of mine were working in QA and gave me a 1000-page manual about their roles that I found fascinating. I used to read it every day on my commute which piqued my interest, and I decided to that was the direction in which I wanted to go."

"So, after months of late-night classes on the weekend and a contract role at Santander, Betway called, and I I jumped at the chance. From there, I just put my head down and constantly tried to learn and improve."

"It was challenging, but I’ve gone from being an IT Applications Tester in a team of five to being Head of QA in a team of 32. My advice would be to always take initiative and remember that you don’t have to be in a management position to be a leader."

Betway Group – Why Work For Us?

About Betway Group
Our London office, established in 2001, is home to Win Technologies – a leader in online marketing support, customer relationship management and technological solutions, and a proud member of the Betway Group.

Our offices in London are as diverse and colourful as the Camden area in which we operate. Large open plan offices are decorated to reflect the Betway brand and feature break out areas and 'thinking spaces', encouraging people to move around and collaborate as much as possible. You need only take a look at our outputs to see that this works, with each team constantly creating and innovating to improve what we do.

Fancy a break from your screen? We’ve got foosball tables and an array of games in our large communal area – and if you need perking up, we’ve even got an in-house barista. And we’re not far from some of London’s best parks, with many employees making the most of a quick walk or run around Regent’s Park or along the canal in their lunch break.

Benefits like pensions, health insurance, season ticket loans and biweekly fitness boot camps tie in with the values that we live by – taking care of our employees is always a priority.

First part was show coding skills by writing code on several tasks. Second part was a chat with company employers. Both parts took about an hour in total.
