Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Pros

Opportunity to earn great money but do have to put the graft in. Have previously lacked incentives but this does seem to be changing, and there are now the opportunities which match other companies

Cons

Sometimes slight micro managing but this has been raised and acknowledged. 90 day commission rule effects you when you initially start but after that it actually works really well

Advice to Management

Keep changing for the better

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BrightHR (Canada) in Sep 2021
Interview
I was contacted on Tuesday and asked for a time that would work for me during the week. I replied Thursday or Friday. I was then contacted on Friday saying the role had been filled and they were no longer looking.

They then said they had other roles that I would be a good fit for and asked if I would be interested. I was and so we scheduled a time for the next Friday. I then never heard from them again.

So they just ghosted, which I find completely unprofessional. Not only this but in every email correspondence, they asked me to resend my resume. I sent it 3 times in the same email chain... I'm not really sure how their HR team is so incompetent but I would not recommend this company at all.
Interview
None because they ghosted our interview and never contacted me as for why.
