"Awesome Place To Work"

Jul 5, 2016 - Anonymous Employee in London, England

I have been working for BuzzMyVideos for 2 years. Firstly as a part time employee then as full time. In my experience i have only found the management and the team to be very helpful and encouraging.

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at BuzzMyVideos (Italy)

    Really bad interview process.
I sent my resumé in December, after 3 weeks I receive an invitation for an interview via Skype for January.
Interview directly with one of the 2 CEO and she says they want to cover the position soon within 2 weeks: great it sounded perfect for me!
She said the process would have been of maximum 3 interviews.
The same month, another interview of more than one hour in Skype with the "department" manager. Very nice talk and very cool person, I had very good vibes and I was excited about this job.
Exactly the same day I was told I passed the round to have an interview exactly the day after...
    Wonderful. I was going fast!
I do the interview it goes well and I was told to receive a final answer within 1 week and possibly a final interview with the other CEO.
Time passes and I send an email after 2 weeks and I was told to wait for all the candidates to be interviewed. ....
    Time passes.
Around 20 days after I was finally interviewed by the other CEO and, it happened 3 times in total, she postponed my interview at the last minute to other days.
Finally doing this "final" interview I was told there was no rush of covering the position but simply finding the "right person".

I was a bit confused, but I was fine with everything. Delays happen, etc. etc. and I could also understand a kind of different vision of the 2 CEOs: from covering the position ASAP to just finding the right person...
So, after 5 days I send an email asking if I was the right person...
I was told to wait a bit more...
    Time passes
Middle February I have to do another interview with the first CEO who interviewed me at the beginning cause she did not remember me.
She said within ONE week finally I would have known if it was a YES or NO.
After 2 weeks I send an email to know more: no answer

Around the second week of MARCH, I send a polite email saying I was putting myself out of the game and clearly since they interviewed me more than 5 times and they were still thinking If was the right person or not, I said I was not the person they were looking for. Putting myself out of this crazy process.
    NO REPLY TO THIS email.
So after spending hours and a long process of more than 5 interviews I did not have any call back for saying YES or NO.
I do think that after you passed different interviews process if you are not taken the Company MUST give you a response (even negative) with an email or better a call.
It is crazy how candidates must be well prepared, polite etc. etc. and then it happens so many times to receive this kind of treatment.
