CME Group is the world’s leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace – where the world comes to manage risk, providing industry-leading derivatives products, services and technologies to the global financial marketplace. For nearly two centuries, we have defined the world of derivatives. Our innovations have improved the way markets perform, enterprises do business and economies grow. But who we are goes deeper than that. Here, you can impact markets worldwide, transform industries and build a career by shaping tomorrow. We invest in your success and you own it – all while working alongside a team of leading experts who inspire you in ways big and small.
Innovation has always been a driving force for the exchanges that form CME Group: CME, CBOT, NYMEX, and COMEX. We have continually embraced change and fostered an entrepreneurial spirit that has enabled both our exchanges – as well as the futures industry – to grow and prosper. We know from firsthand experience that innovation can transform business, influence the direction of civilization and alter its reality for the better.
But creative thinking and great ideas cannot exist in a vacuum – they benefit and gain momentum by being spread far and wide. Recognizing this, in 2003 CME founded the CME Center for Innovation – now called the CME Group Center for Innovation (CFI).
The CFI creates and sponsors thought-provoking original programming that identifies, showcases and fosters examples of significant innovation and creative thinking across multiple industries in both the public and private sectors. Each of the programs explores and communicates the principles behind innovation, and more importantly, showcases their application to a broad and diverse audience.
The CFI's programs help advance the application of innovation by providing a broad, multi-industry analysis of the concept. The CFI is interested in evaluating not only the principles behind innovation, but in taking a strong, hard look at innovation in action.
At CME Group, we value being a good corporate citizen and taking an active role in social responsibility across the communities where we work and live.
In 2014, CME Group contributed more than $5 million through our charitable programs and foundations. Our community outreach program, Amicus, engaged our employees and members in volunteer opportunities totaling more than 2,500 hours of service. Community relations committees, made up of CME Group employees, organized volunteer initiatives in our Chicago, New York, London, Belfast, and Singapore offices and worked to establish new charitable relationships with local partners.
We are proud to be a socially responsible organization that dedicates time and resources to corporate citizenship, and we look forward to continuing to make a difference through our global outreach.
CME Group supports many philanthropic causes through charitable grants from our two foundations.
Through our community involvement, we create opportunities for those in our exchange community to make a difference.
