I have been working at Charles Tyrwhitt full-time (More than a year)
I work in the HO in Cottons and can happily say that there are some great positives for working here.
The majority of the people who work here are friendly and really helpful. There is a nurturing and supporting environment.
Yes we all work hard as the climate is tough all over but my word we are rewarded. Business updates once a month are engaging, involve drinks and snacks. The social team do at least one thing a month, if not more.
The pay is good. The appraisal system works well.
There are so many changes, for the good, happening. Everyone is listened to and responded to. Some things can take time but other things are done within a couple of weeks.
It's all about the people, whether it's employees or customers.
There is a lot of work happening and I think people feel a bit flooded sometimes due to either people changes in their departments or with some communication issues within their teams, but everything is being addressed and rectified.
Advice to Management
Whilst encouraging your teams to BE themselves and bring themselves to work, you guys should also remember to BE yourselves and to look after your own well being.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Charles Tyrwhitt (London, England) in June 2013.
I arrived on time. I was left in reception for 45 minutes as HR had forgotten about interview. The girl came back eventually and made no efforts to be sorry about the wait.
Reasons for Declining
The company didn't feel right. Bad reviews.
