Checkout.com Reviews

Pros
Collaborative Atmosphere: Working at Checkout.com is like being part of an orchestra. The collaborative atmosphere is palpable, and it's inspiring to see how teams come together to tackle challenges. Innovation: In my opinion, Checkout encourages employees to think like entrepreneurs. The company values innovation and creativity, providing ample opportunities for employees to take ownership of projects and contribute ideas that can make a real impact, regardless of their team and level. This sense of ownership is empowering and contributes to a dynamic work environment. Opportunity for Continuous Learning: The constant evolution and change at CKO provide a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth. From day to day, you encounter varied situations that challenge and expand your skill set. The learning curve is steep, offering a rich experience that goes beyond the ordinary.
Cons
Pace of Change: CKO is continually evolving, and while this is invigorating for some, it might be challenging for those who prefer a more stable and predictable work environment. The pace of change can be rapid, and adapting to new processes or strategies may not be everyone's cup of tea. Adaptability Required: The nature of the industry and the company's commitment to innovation demand a high level of adaptability. For individuals who thrive in stability and routine, the constant shifts in priorities and strategies might pose a challenge. It's essential to be comfortable with ambiguity and ready to embrace change.

Interview
Multiple stage interview:
1. Hiring manager
2. Technical assignment
3. Follow up on the Technical assignment
4. Culture fit
5. Leadership interview
The technical assignment was a data science challenge on a provided dataset. The TA was estimated to take 4 hours, but I am not sure if it's even possible to complete it in 4 hours. Took me considerably longer than that. The follow-up consisted of discussing the different design choices.
I had a positive impression of the company at the beginning of the process. However, by the end, it appeared that the vision of the role differed on various management levels. This was not a positive signal.InterviewQ: Describe your recent project that is relevant to the role. Discuss the technical aspects: losses, datasets, etc.
