Cheeburger Cheeburger Restaurants operates and franchises more than 50 family-style eateries in about 20 states, primarily in the Southeast and along the eastern seaboard. The restaurants feature a 1950s-style interior, music, and a burger bar with more than 20 toppings. Most of the chain's locations are found in or near strip malls. Despite the similarity, Cheeburger Cheeburger is not associated with the famous Saturday Night Live skit by John Belushi ("Cheezeborger cheezeborger!") nor with that skit's inspiration, the Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago. CEO Bruce Zicari started the chain in the mid-1980s.
