I have been working at Cisco Systems full-time (More than 10 years)
A dynamic, growing part of Cisco which is at forefront of the company's transition to a software company. Working in Customer Success gives me real opportunity to make a real difference to Customer and Partners alike. It is also great to be part of one of the brightest, most diverse, fun and growing groups within Cisco.
Sometimes feels like we are growing to fast for our business and our processes and tools are playing catch up- but I am confident that will be fixed imminently. Additionally, some parts of our business just don't get Customer Success and are stuck in the past regarding Selling Motions
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you are doing regarding Customer Success, but make sure the company wide initiative that it is is fully understood and embraced by everyone inside Cisco, and integrated into what they do with Customers.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6+ months. I interviewed at Cisco Systems (London, England).
Assessment centre consisting of a technical test, interview and a sales role-play followed by a presentation. Interview centred around personality, more of a discussion about aspirations and the motivation behind your application.
Technical test wasn't particularly difficult, Interviewers were friendly, attentive and asked insightful questions. There were also several assessors for each activity, which was positive.
Unfortunately they lose points in my book for poor communication (any correspondence received was instigated by myself) and lack of transparency following the interview process.
