    Product Marketing Manager Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CloudLock (Waltham, MA (US)) in June 2019.

    Interview

Great if you want to be belittled. The whole process is flawed and every step was worse than the next. One of their internal recruiters reached out to me for a position which I noticed has been open for a year. Never a good sign. We had the call and she was condescending and rude and didn't seem to even know the difference between a Product Marketing and Product Manager. I had to explain for CV several times which really shouldn't be the case if a firm reaches out to you. I then had several emails for a phone screen time sent to me with a set time but I had input on the time or date. Really weird. The phone call with the hiring manager was ok but the product is all over the place and again I received a condescending attitude. I can see why this position has been open. I received a few more messages from the recruiter which were rude and I mentioned I did have friends who are salespeople at Cisco and are leaving for this reason. She laughed but it isn't funny. I would hate to see how they treat employees who they aren't actively trying to recruit.
