    I applied online. I interviewed at Depop.

    Interview

    I don't usually write about my interview experience unless the company has been excellent or really poor. Unfortunately this was one of the worst interview processes I have ever experienced and goes beyond rude, if this is representative of their culture, stay away. I'll go into more detail about the process later for anyone interviewing and wanting that insight. I applied to a senior position and got rejected after several interviews for not having the required experience for the role. This is completely fair, i took the feedback onboard and took notice when the rejection email encouraged me to keep a look out for other roles at the company. When a mid level role came up i reapplied thinking this would be more suitable and would be more appropriate for my "experience" (as they said). I followed this up by emailing the person i had been dealing with at the company asking if this role would be more suitable. I was pleased when they came back with an email wanting to schedule an interview. I booked a slot, prepared for the interview and then the time came for the call and I waited. 30 mins out of my working day later: no call. I sent a polite email asking if they wanted to reschedule only to get an email back stating that they had interviewed me before and therefore had decided my application was unsuccessful (all the while not informing me while i waited). The email i had received was incredibly rude but for a company who sent me a document for me to prepare about the values where "being humble" was part of their "DNA", had possibly the most arrogant response to realising they wouldn't be progressing. As if to say that rejecting me off the back of previous interview justified having me prepare again and wait for half an hour without even a sorry. Owning mistakes and apologising is the bare minimum. I struggle to justify how a company who claims that their culture is important could realise my application was unsuccessful and rather than reaching out to stop me waiting would choose to ignore it, have me continue waiting and wait till i reach out to explain. Very poor. I had even reached out to explain my intention to reapply to a more junior position and specifically asked if this was appropriate so this behaviour was really unacceptable. My previous application it took me emailing 2 weeks later to even get a decision, really clear how they value candidates time. I like the company but their interview process demonstrates they treat candidates appallingly, i suggest really pushing questions on their culture as their recruitment doesn't tell a positive story.

    Screening call - > Hour chat with data head -> 1 hour python coding challenge with software engineers and 1 hour Data Science questions with data head -> Decision
