Consulting Exit Opportunities
I had a couple of interviews at Dow Jones and the hiring manager has set up a half an hour video call for tomorrow to provide an update on the role. Any idea what that means? Trying to figure out what should I be expecting or be prepared for.

Constoo much emphasis on soft-skills in some units. agree that soft-skill is important but that depends on the job. as a result lot of managers dont have clue on technical and get bought into snake oil,
Advice to Managementimprove technical focus in R&D for leaders. agree soft-skill is important right now you are at 90% softskill, 10 on technical/domain competency in some units. for above mid-level managers. reorg in
I applied online. I interviewed at Dow (United States)
InterviewPretty standard interview. They had an easy 30 min first interview with someone from HR just to see if you were a good fit for Dow and generally why you want to work at Dow/why you want that specific job. The second interview was with a panel of a few people who I would be working fairly close with and it was standard interview questions, behavioral questions and a Q&A at the end.
For the 30 min HR interview - Why do you want to work for Dow, go through your experience/why you want that particular job, how would your boss describe you vs. how would your friends describe you, what do you like to do for fun, etc. For the panel - tell me a time you enforced a safety standard in your workplace, why do you want to work at Dow, tell me a time you messed up at work (not the right wording but you get it...) and what did you do to resolve that, tell me about your relationship with and how you manage customer comments/compaints, etc.Answer Question
