I have been working at East Side Games full-time (More than a year)
The culture is amazing, the people are amazing, the perks are amazing. Working here doesn't feel like work, it's like hanging out with friends and being who you are as a person.
We had to move studios after our original space had some issues spring up. Wasn't the worst, but were out of the space longer than we wanted. We did get more bathrooms which was a blessing to us! We're too big and needed more toilets for everyone in the studio.
Advice to Management
Communicate big changes sooner rather than later. Give us updates on the vision through town halls so we know the bigger picture.
I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at East Side Games (Vancouver, BC (Canada)) in May 2016.
Started with a phone interview, then a 1:1 with the Talent Acquisition employee, then in the same span an interview with the team I'd be working with. After that I received another interview to meet with their Office Culture Manager and one of their Founders so they could determine if I was a culture fit. The same day I was contacted with a Job Offer.
