Equinor – Why Work With Us?

We’re Equinor, a broad energy company with a proud history. We are 21,000 committed colleagues developing oil, gas, wind and solar energy in more than 30 countries worldwide. We’re the largest operator in Norway, one of the world’s largest offshore operators, and a growing force in renewables. Driven by our dedication to safety, equality and sustainability and our urge to explore beyond the horizon, we’re shaping the future of energy.

Development begins on day one at Equinor. Every day, our people are encouraged to develop their skills and abilities. They are also empowered to develop their careers across multiple disciplines, functions and locations. The opportunities to learn and grow with us are extensive; we don’t just offer a job, we challenge our people to build their career.

So, what do you say? Are you in?

The world needs more energy and lower emissions. We’re investing heavily in low-carbon solutions, renewables and in reducing the emissions from our oil and gas industry. In Equinor we don’t question the science of climate change; we act on it, and we wholeheartedly support the Paris Agreement.

Our ambition is to:

  • Strengthen our industry leading position on carbon efficient production, aiming to reach carbon neutral global operations by 2030.

  • Reduce the net carbon intensity, from initial production to final consumption, of energy produced by at least 50% by 2050.

  • Grow our renewable energy capacity tenfold by 2026, developing as a global offshore wind major.

I applied online. I interviewed at Equinor.

After passing the online assessment, I was invited to complete a self-recorded video interview, where I was asked a series of motivational/situational questions. After each question, I was given 30 seconds to think of a response and then 2-3 minutes to record my answer. The whole process only took about 30 minutes.
