The people here are brilliant to work with, very passionate and care about what they do. In engineering particularly, there is always a desire to do better; exploring new technologies, finding creative solutions, and, most importantly, caring about the end result - making great products that customers/users can make use of - rather than just being a fire-and-forget feature-factory.
As I'm sure would be the case for any fast growing company making several acquisitions in a short space of time, there are some current growing pains. I have confidence that we will become stronger and better in the end, though it will be a challenging tight rope to walk and, for a time, will mean quite a but of change and uncertainty for people to deal with.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Esendex (Nottingham, England).
30 mins telephone screening, 1 hour programming exercise - TDD would be preferred (fizz buzz and calculator accepting 2 numbers only using plus/minus, consider negative numbers), supposedly paired, with 2 observers, 1 hour competency with Lead Dev and HR person.
