I worked at Evolvr as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

There was a stellar project manager there and some talented designers.

    Cons

    • this is where all the people from DH, who love working like slaves for one crazy client work now. It's a certain competitive/need-to-win personality that is required to work as a creative here.

    • tiny, uncomfortable office. No privacy.

    • Rude management treats you like you are expendable -- Especially one in particular. I think the tough-guy/rude shtick is to cover up his mediocre ideas and poor performance.

    • True story: we were working on a project for a client; It was dinner time. They ordered dinner for us. A copywriter and creative director went out to "pick up beer for the team". They came back 3 hours later completely tanked, and I don't even think they brought back any beer. We were waiting for them to come back to approve components of the project so we could move forward with the draft -- we could not. They didn't come back until 9pm. No one said a damn thing but we all felt it. We were there until after midnight.

    Advice to Management

Agencies need to stop the obnoxious behavior. Especially a tiny, offshoot agency like this. Not really sure where they are getting their arrogance from.
