Interview
I applied for this job based in Barcelona, the process took 2 weeks, the first interview is with the recruiter which is a casual chat where you get asked about your carrier, experience, salary expectation, etc ( classic questions ).
Then comes the tricky part about this process, which is the technical test, I'm another person on the list who think is an unfair one. You get an email saying is supposed to take no more than 2 hours but in the readme file says no more than 4, they also tell you to make it beautiful but don't polish your code too much. I was honest enough to do it in about 4 hours and a half but there is no way do a great job in that gap. I believe my solution was more than good for the time taken, the only weakness was the UI which didn't look great, especially when you have to display more than 300 objects on the screen coming from two different APIs, I could have spent the weekend making it look much better, refactoring, etc, but again, I was honest with the instructions.
The feedback from my taxi was "After an in-depth discussion and careful consideration we regret to have to inform you that we have decided to proceed with other candidates that meet our requirements more closely. This is in no way a judgement of your expertise or personality but merely related to our specific needs for this position."
