It seems partners are much more flexible with associates who have kids than with those who don’t. If it’s okay for my colleague with a kid to leave at 5 pm and log on later, why isn’t that the same for me (no kids)? My obligations might be different, but I still have a life and want to be able to do certain things, like catch that evening workout class or cook dinner for my partner. As you can probably tell, my firm is operating 100% in person. There is no point here — I’m just whining.

    Pros

You get to work with a ton of really kind people who mostly join because they care about the mission and helping people. Pace is fast. Small team so you can get involved in stuff outside your role. So like a start-up really. Company has changed loads in the last year for the better. Making more money and better decision making. New hires have been really high quality.

    Cons

There has been some downsizing which was painful. People team handled it well, the reasons made sense and company is doing well financially on the back of it. But better to avoid it.

I applied online. I interviewed at Farewill (United Kingdom)

      Interview

This has sadly been a terrible experience. Had a good interview got through to the next stages to me told that the position is on hold. To then after over a month of chasing be told the job has no closed and they have decided to not hire for the role at all. Seriously unprofessional to go out, waste someones time and then completely pull the position. make you question the overall direction the company is going in. Highly unprofessional, frustrating, disappointing and I would say avoid at all costs!

We are over the moon after winning the Hottest Social Innovation categories at The Europas! It's a particularly meaningful one for us because from day ) we've been dedicated to de-stigmatizing death, to making it easier for each and every person faced with it, and the people they love who are left behind. It's at the heart of the products we build, the brilliant, thoughtful, creative, committed Farewillians in our team, and in our mission to Change the Way the World Deals With Death. Also a big shout out to all the other winners!

We’re really pleased to say that Farewill has been shortlisted in the Social Innovation category at the Europas this week. Since we launched in 2015, we’ve made it easier for thousands of people to prepare for and deal with one of life’s most difficult events. And along the way, our generous customers have pledged over £200million to charity. It’s the public voting stage and, if you like what we're up to, we’d absolutely love your help. It takes about 10 seconds and you can vote for us here: bit.ly/EuropasPublicVote
