We are delighted to announce that Marie Brotherton, Learning & Development Operations Manager and her Regional Training team, have secured a place as Finalists after being being shortlisted for 'Training Provider of the Year' by our Moving and Handling Partner RoSPA. Marie and Martin Bates, Lead Regional Trainer, were invited to the House of Lords for the Award ceremony where they were up against many businesses across the whole of the UK. Marie said "Our Regional Training team are incredibly skilled and dedicated and it was fantastic to be shortlisted for the award for Training Provider of the year by RoSPA, and announced as runners up. The judges were very impressed by our innovative and effective practice. I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved as a team and this recognition is the cherry on the top!" Well done team!

Our team at Brockwell Court Care Home are delighted to have received a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following their most recent inspection. Inspectors praised the high-quality, person-centred care and reported that: “People were extremely satisfied with the service and felt staff always went above and beyond in delivering the care. They described the little extras staff just did as a part of their job. Staff were passionate about providing good care outcomes and took ownership for their practice.” The report also noted that: “People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests.” And “The registered manager promoted a positive, person-centred culture. They, and staff, put people's needs and wishes at the heart of everything they did.” Residents told the CQC: "The staff are lovely, so kind and they really go out of their to make sure I'm alright." And: "I love it here; everyone is spot on. They have made my life so much better and I don't know what I would have done without them." Home Manager, Becca Boyle, said: “We are extremely proud of this achievement which is testament to the entire team’s commitment and dedication. Providing great care is all about putting our residents’ health and happiness at the heart of everything we do and we are delighted that The CQC have recognised this.” Well done to our wonderful team at Brockwell Court!

Program Director

I worked for a company for almost five years going from billing dept. to HR. I am now a program director for an adult day care under the same boss. I asked for a raise before being “promoted” to program director, and was denied. My pay was raised by $2 for the new position. My social worker at the ADC left for two months & I asked for a raise since I was doing work for 2 people now, and was denied again. It’s a super toxic workplace. What’s the best course of action?
