I have been working at GBG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A great culture and positive environment. Everyone across the business is extremely supportive and there is a strong team ethic - we all work together to get the best results for the business. Lots of social activities take place to get staff involved and there is a real push on equality across GBG (still a long way to go). Great flexibility and opportunities for home working to suit each individual. Lots of ambition and exciting times ahead. It's also great to have a CEO who regularly acknowledges the team and values their contribution.

    Cons

    - More diversity is needed across the business - especially in the UK teams.
    - Too many managers.

    Advice to Management

The pace of growth is so fast - ensure you have the resources to support the changes happening.

    Performance Engineer Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GBG (London, England) in February 2020.

    Interview

was contacted on linkedIn by a friendly recruiter from GBG who organised a video interview. The process took 3 weeks because of the absence of the recruiter for a week.
Questions about my previous experience. General C++ questions, OOP and design patterns questions. simple coding exercice (fibonacci) + very odd performance exercise with calls to same function with static member and very big loop 1000000 iterations. Other questions about exceptions safety. The interview didn't reflect the skills detailed in the job offer. I was told the interview would last 45 minutes tops. It ended up lasting 90 minutes, not great! The interviewers were generally friendly but didn't help much in resolving the problem. The connexion quality was not great so several technical issues made the whole thing a terrible experience
