I have been working at GE full-time (More than 10 years)
Plenty to learn within the business and from other departments
Encouraged to contribute to the business and rewarded for going above and beyond.
Tasks can take a long time to complete due to multiple processes
Advice to Management
Slow down the changes to the organisational structure and business systems.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at GE (Newcastle upon Tyne, England).
Weirdest process. 1) Application status never changed; 2) was invited to interview and no correspondence sent. Was called on my way to my doctor's appointment as no one bothered to send me an email. Requested for the to send correspondence twice! 3) no one could seem to tell me the status of my application - both GE and Baker Hughes. Their unprofessionalism cost me my opportunity. Really disappointed. The process always tells me a lot about the company - I would rather work elsewhere. I am very disappointed
