If you're one ...
I worked at Gap Inc. full-time (More than 8 years)
Worked at Gap HQ in NYC for over 8 years. Amazing place to work. Great benefits, people, brand pride. Like all companies in retail, there are some crazy times- but it's all manageable and worth it. Very proud to be a Gap veteran.
A lot of organizational changes make it hard to keep your rhythm. But this is common in the ever changing retail environment.
The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Gap Inc. (London, England).
I applied online and got a call 1 week later inviting me to an interview.
It lasted about 30 minutes.
For first part of the interview the manager asked me questions about my availability, hobbies etc.
For the second part of the interview I had to chose two outfits; one for a casual daytime look and another outfit for going out on a Saturday night. I had to choose all these clothes making sure I didn't go over the budget of £250.
Overall it was a good interview and the manager was friendly which helped me to relax.
Gap Inc. is a place where people from all kinds of industries can come and make it their own. We talked to some former consultants who now work across our brands about why they shifted gears to come work with us. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQq3f
