Grant Thornton UK LLP – Why Work For Us?

Come and think independently with an organisation that’s doing the same. We’re determined to help shape a vibrant economy in the UK and beyond.

We believe we’re best positioned to make a meaningful impact on the economy. Every day, we provide a diverse range of organisations with the kind of business and financial advice it takes to do this. Our ideas and insight empower our clients to make big decisions about the future and unlock sustainable growth. Through our fresh thinking and agile working, we help businesses, communities and our people to flourish.

We work with banks, regulators and government to rebuild trust. We work with dynamic organisations to help them grow. And we work with the public sector to build a business environment that supports growth, including national and local public services.

Being part of a dynamic global firm driven by independent thinkers, we provide high quality business and financial advice to a wide range of clients in countries all over the world.

Shaping a vibrant economy

  • We have a bold purpose – by unlocking the potential for growth in our people, clients and our communities we believe we can help shape a vibrant economy where no-one gets left behind We seek to achieve this through building trust and integrity of markets, unlocking sustainable growth in dynamic organisations and creating environments where businesses and people flourish
  • Over the past 18 months we’ve brought together over 1,000 business and community leaders from across the UK to share their aspirations. We've collected their thoughts and ideas and created a set of recommendations we're sharing with government
  • As a result of our conversations, we’ve created taskforces to tackle some of the big issues facing society today, like the housing crisis and the future of work.

Moving towards becoming a shared enterprise

Everybody here plays their part. It’s a real team effort. It’s why our unique culture is built around collaboration and over the past few years we’ve been making big changes - moving towards becoming a shared enterprise. We share ideas. We share responsibility. We share the rewards. Put simply, we’re better together.

Agile working

We're taking steps to create an agile working culture where our people are empowered to work where they want, when they want and how they want to deliver the best service for their clients.

You’ll get the support, you’ll be inspired and provided with opportunities to help you develop your skills and your career. But you’ll also do so much more than that. You’ll enjoy a role with an organisation that has a real purpose. You’ll help us to shape a vibrant economy for the UK and beyond.

You’ll help to develop a collaborative culture where ideas are not just shared, but we share responsibility for making them happen. Being part of something bigger, you’ll be inspired to make an impact. And you’ll be given the freedom to drive change and shape your own destiny. Are you ready to shape more than just your career?

We’ve a variety of career opportunities for a diverse range of talented people who want to be part of something bigger.

I have been working at Grant Thornton UK LLP full-time (More than a year)

I have been promoted within the year and so the restructure has worked well for me and I am happy that the changes have been made, the team leaders are supportive as are most of the dept.
I enjoy the work I do and feel I make a contribution to the audit process, ideas are shared on a board which I like, my manager listens to my feedback. I think as a department it's growing and personally speaking I think it's got A LOT better. There's also a good reward package eg pension etc and the people from all levels are great to work with.

I suppose you can't keep everyone happy, and because the work is quite complex it's not for everyone, you will get lots of support from your team however if you refuse to take advice or make the same mistakes over and over again you will be put on an action plan, not really a con but it's all I could think of.

    Advice to Management

I enjoy working here and pleased that my hard work has been recognised with a promotion (but would like to be paid more)
