Grant Thornton UK LLP – Why Work For Us?

undefined

We are a leading business adviser that helps dynamic

organisations unlock their potential for growth.

Our purpose is to build a vibrant economy, based on trust and integrity in markets, dynamic businesses, and communities where businesses and people thrive. We work with banks, regulators and government to rebuild trust through corporate renewal reviews, advice on corporate governance, and remediation in financial services. We work with dynamic organisations to help them grow. And we work with the public sector to build a business environment that supports growth, including national and local public services.

We're the first major professional services firm to adopt

a culture of shared enterprise...

...seeking to optimise the intelligence, creativity and know-how of all our people to work towards a common goal of creating value for our clients.

Our culture is about empowering people to share ideas, find solutions and make decisions in a way that they may not have the opportunity to do in a more traditional, top-down environment.

Our people share ideas, responsibility and ultimately share in the reward. By behaving like owners and sharing the responsibility, we create value for both clients and the firm. We're given the trust to deliver and the tools to do so in the form of more flexible working environments, increased understanding of how our business works and decisions taken further down the organisation.

I have been working at Grant Thornton UK LLP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people I work for are very supportive of my development. Company benefits are relatively good and offer a decent choice.

    Cons

Limited bonus scheme for people at support staff level and pay is not as high as other accountancy firms.

    Advice to Management

Improve the communication you give to staff about changes that will be happening - avoid people feeling fobbed off by repetitive notions of changes 'happening soon' etc, as people will leave before you get a chance to implement them

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Grant Thornton UK LLP (London, England) in November 2017.

    Interview

A video interview with 10 strength based questions and a case study. Quite stressful if you ask me. Part A is the strength based questions and part B is the case study. Make sure you plan your time well in Part B, I could not quite finish the summary.
