Come and think independently with an organisation that’s doing the same.
We believe we’re best positioned to make a meaningful impact on the economy. Every day, we provide a diverse range of organisations with the kind of business and financial advice it takes to do this. Our ideas and insight empower our clients to make big decisions about the future and unlock sustainable growth. Through our fresh thinking and agile working, we help businesses, communities and our people to flourish.
We work with banks, regulators and government to rebuild trust. We work with dynamic organisations to help them grow. And we work with the public sector to build a business environment that supports growth, including national and local public services.
Being part of a dynamic global firm driven by independent thinkers, we provide high quality business and financial advice to a wide range of clients in countries all over the world.
We have created a culture of openness and transparency where all of our people can make a difference.
Collaboration: ask for help, give help – we work well together
Leadership: have courage and inspire others – we challenge each other to be the best we can be
Excellence: find a better way every time – we never get complacent
Agility: think broadly, act quickly – we thrive in change
Respect: listen and understand, be forthright – we create honest relationships
Responsibility: use influence wisely – we own our actions
As well as a distinctive global culture, we have developed six core principles, known as our CLEARR values. These values underpin our culture and how we do business – they are embedded throughout our business and set the parameters of how our people behave with their colleagues, clients and the world at large.
Every day we work to help people find out how they can bring their whole self to work. Our flexible and agile working practices and policies allow people to balance their work with things that are most important in their life. Whether it’s taking care of your family or taking care of yourself, everyone needs the flexibility to manage what life and work may require. We know that there’s still work we need to do to create a fully inclusive working culture, but we are ready for the challenge and continue to strive for excellence.
To flourish, we beleive our people need the freedom to balance their day-to-day lives with their work.
This is why we’ve set out to create inclusive and flexible policies and practices for you to accommodate all your responsibilities and needs: children, family and beyond.
Here's some information on our agile and flexible working policies:
Agility is a mind-set that is based on trust and flexibility. We encourage our people to explore, within their teams, how they can work in an agile way which allows them to be at their best, deliver high-quality work and meet their responsibilities in and outside of work.
The time you spend outside of work helps shape what you can bring to our firm. We value the commitments you may have outside of work and to demonstrate this, all of our people have an immediate right to request a flexible working arrangement under our flexible working policy.
At Grant Thornton, you’ll help to make a difference.
Whether you’re a graduate, student or school leaver, or if you’re ready for a new challenge, a change in direction or the time is right to return to work, you’ll enjoy being part of a team that does things differently.
You’ll get the support, you’ll be inspired and provided with opportunities to help you develop your skills and your career. But you’ll also do so much more than that. You’ll enjoy a role with an organisation that has a real purpose.
You’ll help to develop a collaborative culture where ideas are not just shared, but we share responsibility for making them happen. Being part of something bigger, you’ll be inspired to make an impact. And you’ll be given the freedom to drive change and shape your own destiny. Are you ready to shape more than just your career?
We’ve a variety of career opportunities for a diverse range of talented people who want to be part of something bigger.
Passionate about supporting, advising and helping all kinds of businesses achieve their potential, you’ll be someone who wants to make a difference and shape your career and a vibrant economy. Commercially focused with the ability to deliver innovative solutions, you’ll also have strong technical skills and experience of providing clients with advisory, tax planning or auditing services.
Committed to self-development, you should have the desire to coach, mentor and develop those around you. You must also share our CLEARR values – Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Respect and Responsibility.

I have been working at Grant Thornton UK LLP full-time (More than a year)
I have been promoted within the year and so the restructure has worked well for me and I am happy that the changes have been made, the team leaders are supportive as are most of the dept.
I enjoy the work I do and feel I make a contribution to the audit process, ideas are shared on a board which I like, my manager listens to my feedback. I think as a department it's growing and personally speaking I think it's got A LOT better. There's also a good reward package eg pension etc and the people from all levels are great to work with.
I suppose you can't keep everyone happy, and because the work is quite complex it's not for everyone, you will get lots of support from your team however if you refuse to take advice or make the same mistakes over and over again you will be put on an action plan, not really a con but it's all I could think of.
Advice to Management
I enjoy working here and pleased that my hard work has been recognised with a promotion (but would like to be paid more)
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Grant Thornton UK LLP (London, England) in December 2018.
Online application, online tests, video interview, assessment centre.
All interviews are strength-based so not much preparation required apart from their values and their initiatives (especially Vibrant Economy). After the video interview they arranged a follow-up call to clear up questions from the video interview and clarify motivations.
The assessment centre was the next stage in London. They were quite quick to arrange this compared to other companies and had good communication throughout the process. The assessment centre was just 9am-1pm and involved a group exercise and one-to-one interview. The group exercise revolved around a chosen metric in their Vibrant Economy index, so make sure to review these beforehand. There was a short presentation at the end and a few Q&A. The one-to-one interview was 1 hour (including my questions) and included fairly predictable questions.
