Interview
Applied for this role on 25th February, was invited on 3rd March to arrange a 30 minute short telephone interview, which I did for Wednesday 7th March as I was away for a few days. Telephone interview went well, as far as I could tell, I was relatively confident I'd be progressed to the next stage. I asked what the process was and was told to expect a call by close of business on Friday 9th informing me either way. Also told it's a three stage interview process, which I thought excessive for the junior nature of the role which was advertised as 'no HR experience necessary'. The second stage would be a video interview with a deeper dive into some of the areas already discussed in the 30 minute telephone interview. The third would be a further video interview with the People Director also sitting in, presumably to sign off on the preferred candidate. All three of these stages could easily be condensed into one hour long interview. I didn't hear anything by Friday afternoon, nor on Monday 14th and so chased on that day at 4pm. Heard nothing until a rejection on Wednesday 16th at midday. Advised that other candidates "showed a real alignment to our core values", something which I was myself continually praised for during my telephone interview.Give an example of when...
