  • We're absolutely THRILLED to win the 'Most effective recruitment marketing campaign' category in partnership with Shop Direct at Recruiter Awards 2018! We entered our peak candidate attraction campaign for Shop Direct and everyone involved worked so hard to make sure it was successful - both in terms of innovatively attracting over 1500 great workers, but also by working to continuously develop Shop Direct's employer reputation in the local jobs market.

Simon Blockley, Managing Director, Guidant Group

Simon has over 20 years’ of recruitment outsourcing and managed service expertise, covering MSP and RPO design, planning and implementation.

Simon joined Guidant in February 2014 as Client Solutions Director and after achieving considerable success in this role was promoted to Managing Director in mid-2017. He is responsible for implementing Guidant’s three-year strategy (Lead, People, Grow) which has set a clear framework for the future direction of the business, while ensuring an exceptional standard of service for clients, candidates, suppliers and employees alike.

    Application

    I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Guidant Group (London, England) in March 2015.

    Interview

    The hiring process was efficient and attentive. All email correspondence happened quickly and to the timescales the hiring manager promised. Everybody involved did a great job of keeping me updated on the progress of my application.

    I undertook a phone screening interview, 1:1 interview, and then an interview with two other members of the team which included presenting a task which formed part of the process. This was a worthwhile exercise which provided a great opportunity to demonstrate my skills in practice but also learn more about the company itself.

    The professional, yet friendly approach to the hiring process was perfectly representative of the way Guidant operates on a daily basis right across the business.
