I have been working at Gwangju Institute of Science & Technology full-time
good and clean facilities, kind people, low cost of living
it is far from the heart of a city
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Gwangju Institute of Science & Technology.
Hired after finished Master degree in the same laboratory to finish project for publication. Basically everything depends on professor, if you get initial contact and satisfy his/hers requirements, it won't be difficult to enter the institute. Interview might be held by Skype(or other similar software), if you don't reside in Korea.
Publications in good journals would be a major advantage.
